It was really nice to have the service and the food was as good. Loved my snapper grilled that came along with a beautiful sauce.

Disappointed by a few things at high tea. The selection of savoury and sweet was not balanced. Cucumber sandwiches had no cream cheese so it was dry (butter didn't help really, was kind of cheap). The teas were not served in individual pots as most high tea places do, so you had to keep passing the teapot of hot water around very carefully while maneuvering the serving platter. Sugar pot had sugar cubes, but no mini tongs to take out the cube out with....I would hate to imagine how many licked fingers go in there to get the cubes out....wouldn't go back.

Our group of 6 had a very pleasant dinner at this restaurant.

We enjoyed pre dinner drinks in the adjoining Bar to the restaurant.

The restaurant and bar decor is very welcoming and comfortable, especially the chairs in the bar area.

The restaurant menu is typical of a hotel with a page of traditional and standard fare followed by a page of grill offerings, including a range of steaks. There was a poached pear consideration for vegetarian guests and a game offering of venison.

The drinks list is not large but adequate and competitively priced. We enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay at $10 and the bottle prices about $40.

Our meals were well presented and cooked to our liking. The main choices enjoyed were the venison, rack of lamb (2), angus beef fillet and scotch fillet. We felt that the meal pricing range from $33 - $39 was most satisfactory for the size and quality of the presentations.

Each of the meals came with supporting vegetables and it was not necessary to order any sides.

The service was of a high standard and very attentive and helpful with advice. However, having said that the restaurant was not very busy during our sitting.

An enjoyable dining experience and recommended.

Thank Ron T

Me and my better half both had such a lovely time, not to mention a great meal, at the "Grill' on Tuesday night.

We had a fantastic table, up close to a large glass window with a great view overlooking Wellington. I would recommend for people to book and ask for them, as there are only a few tables available by the window. It really is lovely to dine with a view and unlike some other restaurants I've been to, there was no hidden charge for the privilege.

Our meals came out quickly and were cooked to perfection, simply sublime. I had the venison and my wife the chicken. Sadly, we were both too full to try for desert and opted for some coffee instead.

The servers checked on us often, without being intrusive, and made sure everything was on the beam for us. My wife has allergies to certain foods, we were appreciative that this was made to be of no problem and not a hassle.

We look forward to our next visit.

love the bar snacks and had breakfast here. Great choice, from fruits to cold cuts to pancakes and bacon and eggs. 10/10 staff were awesome. Very clean and tidy and great view outside the awesome huge glass windows.
