Beautiful house, amazing view and spectacular hospitality! We had dinner there one night and it was absolutely delicious. We were well taken care of with soft, warm beds and snacks ready and available whenever we wanted. We arrived after a long day of travel and our mouths dropped in awe and wonder; this was everything we were hoping for and even more

It was so great that you were all able to stay here on your world wind trip. Being able to relax each evening after busy days out sight seeing and enjoying our wonderful beaches is such a bonus. It was very special to be apart of such a special family.

John and Karla were great hosts, very friendly and the food was amazing. Rooms were well appointed and the views were amazing. Highlight was a wine in the spa bath while looking out over the hills and sea. Thanks so much for the amazing experience I'll definitely be back

Room tip: Every room is really well appointed and all have amazing morning views

We've just returned to Auckland from an all too brief stay with John and Karla at their beautiful B and B. They were the most welcoming hosts, seeming to know what we wanted before we asked but never intrusive. From the location to the large thick towels to the changing table decorations and place settings to the single rose in our room when we arrived, nothing could be faulted. We were the only guests for two nights which perhaps added to the seclusion of the place but once we got there we were very happy to eat Karla's excellently prepared dinner in our own private dining room with a panoramic view, and watch the lights of Tauranga and Mt Maunganui appear and disappear as the autumn mists (and rain) swept through the Bay. And I mustn't forget the freshly laid eggs for breakfast and home baking - superb all round.

Jane it was so lovely to have you and Wyn stay with us after you busy work schedule. I still can’t believe how much you were able to squeeze into your two day stay.

Hope you had a safe trip home to the UK and you will come back and see us sometime.

Hi Lyn thanks so much for your kind words, it really was a pleasure to have you pick us as the last part of your stay in the Northland. We have some amazing places to explore and they are all so different.

I am sure the family have really enjoyed hearing about all your adventures.

Cheers for now.

Brenda and I had the absolute privilege of staying at Tauranga Lodge in March of 2015, while attending a wedding at a venue nearby. The Lodge is beautifully appointed throughout, with wonderful views across the western Bay of Plenty to Coromandel. The hosts were warm and engaging, and pay great attention to detail without being invasive. From the suite settings to the food, everything spoke of quality- as, again, were the hosts. We'll be recommending this place to our friends and family. Wilson, Auckland

Hi Brenda,

John and I are thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us. We find it makes such a difference when guests are going to a wedding close by. They often say how wonderful it is to be able to get ready, then relax outside, and enjoy the view with a chilled glass of wine and some nibbles…no stress what so ever.(:

Cheers for now,

Karla and John
