What a cool place, with large rocks you can walk over and climb on and even sit to enjoy. Some parking available, just a few parks, but well worth the little windy road to get to it.

This is a nice spot to visit with falls and lakes, trails and trees. Very picturesque and worth a visit. Not very crowded when I visited in April.

Easy to find with lots of parking. You can walk on fantastic paths that would not bog with rain or you can drive to picnic areas.
There is wheelchair or scooter access to beautiful bush. There is longer or shorter walks the choice is yours.
Great cafe when finished to have coffee or lunch.Information centre with clean toilets. There is also a zoo for children
The whole park is children friendly.

Fantastic place to visit. Walk around the lake. Feed the ducks. Use the free bbqs and wait for dark and visit the glow worms by the waterfall. Camping sites are available.

This park consists of falls and lakes and you can drive and park around the many different areas and then get out and walk along some of the beautiful paths along little streams or lakes with lots of native bush plants in evidence. It is also quite shady which is a boon in the summer. There seems to be lots of actiivities and the possibility of camping in the park too. We were fascinated by the boulders and falls at the early bridge where some young men dive from great heights into the pools below while others scramble about and sunbathe over the rocks. You are ot supposed to dive or jump from the bridge although one person did when we were there. foolhardy I would say. there is cafe and information kiosk with shop. makes a great day out in the Lower Kaimai.
