Good location and parking but that’s where the positives end. The carpet was stained and worn throughout, the bathroom fan was spitting dust that looked like it had been resident in the fan since the 80s. Dirt and grime on the blinds, and very worn and dated furniture.
It was not what we thought it would be from the photos in advertisements unfortunately.
My husband and I were in Tauranga one night, for work. Just needed somewhere to sleep. We were delighted by the Service, the lockup parking, the large room with it's huge comfortable bed, the cleanliness of the entire suite with it's perfect balcony and the cleanliness. My husband's breakfast poached eggs were over-cooked but that was nothing compared to all the up-sides. My own eggs were perfectly scrambled :-)
Totally affordable, real value for money. Centrally located for all needs retail and dining.
I was in town for couple of meetings. The hotel is located at a nice spot, not too far from the waterfront. Rooms are decent sized and a bit old but tidy. Had everything you need. Service was great! Special shout to Monty on the front desk. Keep up the good work.

City Suites is a great stay with affordable and spacious rooms, clean facilities and friendly staff (Monty especially!). We stayed two nights and were thoroughly impressed with our overall experience. We could always find a park in the secured underground parking (free!) and enjoyed the spa bath! Highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice break in central Tauranga!
