Just a super location and view and just back a bit from the main road and nice clean room and we loved the spa bath and the bed was fantastic had a great sleep and in an easy to find part of town with easy access to everywhere.

Room tip: Get a top floor room as they have better views

Started from the person at reception on Friday evening, 21st April. Warm and friendly welcome, and did so much to make the stay happen as rooms were being booked at a frantic pace. We received the last room before the 'NO VACANCY' sign came on. The room was perfect right next to the playground, and swimming pool. The rooms were immaculate and very modern with all facilities available at half the price. The kids loved the playground and there was plenty of space, with a peaceful feel, even though it was full. The restaurant was fantastic at breakfast, and we received excellent value for money, and had a very satisfied tummy at the end. Would definitely look there first if ever again in Taupo, and will recommend to anybody that is coming through Taupo.

Room tip: All of the rooms look to have good views All room have a good level of privacy, and so easy access to the City centre

This hotel has a great location. The reception staff were friendly.
The rooms are a little dated, WIFI just didn't work, and the TV stations were lacking choices. We had been doing a lot of travelling and wanted a night in.
However, the rooms were clean and tidy with a great view.
We had breakfast in the restaurant and the gentleman was very friendly and gracious, even though he was understaffed and run off his feet! He was an absolute star for the business.

We ate at the resturant during a busy night and yet we were greeted well and seated quickly regardless of our appearance. The menu was diverse and interesting. Our entree was the perfect introduction to our mains which were presented and cooked beautifully. The combination of such good service and food made this a dining experience we will continue to rave about.

Spacious rooms with a beautiful lake view - yet it seems like a recent renovation took place that was externally cosmetic without completely finishing the interior. It's been a long time since I've seen mold in a hotel shower stall. Wi-Fi was off much of the time (hotel staff didn't recognize it was off). Breakfast dining was quite good at a far more reasonable price than other hotels we've used in the North Island. In sum: find an alternative lodging.
