We decided to go to Malabar after reading all the review. The food was really good and staff was excellent. The only thing was, it was a bid cold inside the restaurant.

Had a few thousand Indian meals over the years in many countries.. but last night’s Lamb Duo dinner at Malabar was the best ever. Delicious lamb curry alongside sautéed lamb and vegetables. Exquisite. Well deserving of #1 restaurant in Taupo on TripAdvisor. Just off out to go do it all over again!

We decided to try here as it was the number one rated on trip advisor and wasn’t disappointed. The service was welcoming and I asked the waiter what he recommended to try. The meals were nice and drinks were great value too.
