Great comfortable stay

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Aug 2018
Very convenient, clean and comfortable accommodation in Taupo. Handy, approximately 15 minute walk to the township. Easy access to SH north, south or to Napier. The apartments are incredibly roomy, warm, secure and very clean. There is no road noise despite the proximity to the highway. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

Loved our accommodation. It was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. Dayna was especially helpful when we left a jacket behind, mailing it to a friend for us to collect later. Wonderful facilities.

This is my second stay at The Voyager and each time I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Check in where you are warmly greeted.
Parking outside your apartment
2 bedroom apartment was comfy, heating worked fine, beds were very comfortable & electric blankets topped it off.
A stroll to everything you need. A couple of chargeback restaurants that have wonderful menus.
I will return as I’m happy and comfortable 😀

Stayed here for a weekend. Bed was surprisingly comfortable but that’s where it ends. We were in the 3 bedroom apartment and it was cold. Heat pump in the lounge was blowing mist and cold air. When this was mentioned to the Receptionist we were told we must have had the temperature too high!!! It was a frosty night so of course it wasn’t set on 18!!
Went to bed just to get warm. The wet area shower is dangerously slippery. Glad I am able bodied. When showering the whole bathroom floor got wet as did my clothes which I had to dry in the dryer before I could get dressed.
The couches have list all their stuffing and were too uncomfortable to sit on.
We were 2 couples but were told only 1 carpark so had to park on the street which wasn’t ideal. Even asked to move our car whilst unpacking.

We have stayed here before and you could definitely see the quality of these apartments has gone down. They are desperate for a refurb.

I’ll not stay here again. Pretty expensive.

Voyager apartments and a good size and well equipped. I have stayed before and they are close to the lake front, and the pub "Jolly Good Fellows" I found the heat pump in the sitting area struggled to warm the room, but the one in the bedroom worked well. I told them about the sitting area heat pump in the 7nit next to this one, and it was dissapointing to find this on was the same. Upstairs the bedroom was very welcoming and comfortable. Would I stay again? Possibly not, I would look for somewhere warmer.

Friendly welcome on arrival and easy parking directly outside the apartment - two spaces per apartment (but someone still ended up parking in front of the steps up to our place - doh!).

Apartment was fine - a little tired but clean and tidy. Twin room downstairs with bathroom and shower, super-king upstairs with a corner spa bath and small balcony. All beds had electric blankets and both upstairs and downstairs had heat pump so nice and warm all round.

Tea, coffee, hot chocolate provided, travel hairdryer in the bathroom and the usual shampoo and conditioner bottles. Sky TV if wanted - everything we needed for a short stay.

Guest staying for longer might find the common area a bit small - sofa and chair a bit cramped if there are two couples or a couple and two children but was fine for our one-night stay.

Outdoor hot pool on site which was a nice surprise. Was 36 degrees apparently but felt a bit cooler. Certainly didn't get too hot to stay in. Pool closes at 9.30pm - doesn't close as such but it starts circulating cold water instead of hot!

I'd stay here again.
