From the moment we arrived we were enveloped in luxury and warmth. The villas are magnificent. The view is breathtaking. Peg, the owner greeted us and instantly made us feel that it was her mission to make our stay memorable. Peg's eye for detail is fantastic. The villa is decorated with beautiful memorabilia. We felt as though we were in her own home.
We loved the way she stocked the pantry with all kinds of goodies she thought we might like. The kitchen was equipped with every cooking gadget you could possibly want. We loved the quality of the towels and the bed linen. The toiletries were only the best.
All this paled into insignificance when Peg offered to drive us wherever we needed to go! It doesn't get any better than this!

My husband and I recently arrived for a few days at lake Taupo. We had cruised from Sydney to Auckland on celebrity solstice and then picked up a hire car and drove the 3.30hrs to Taupo and the beautiful Point Villas. Whilst I had researched the accommodation nothing prepared us for the beautiful surroundings and the Villa 1 which we had booked. The owner Peg greeted us soon after our arrival and brought with her some beautiful fresh bread. After showing us around she and Brian left us to settle in. We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights here, my husband had two wonderful days fly fishing with local guide Brent Pirie whilst I enjoyed the peace and tranquility that is Point Villas. On our final evening Peg and Brian joined us for a drink and chat. We were sorry to leave but we will be back

This was our second trip to the Point Villas, Unit One. The location is spectacular offering privacy, beautiful views and comfort. The villa is well appointed with great attention to detail and perfect for the serious chef or entertaining! Although we had some issues with the operation of the TV for Super Bowl Sunday, our hostess was prompt in dealing with the problem sending help right away. And, upon leaving a few things behind, she even drove over an hour to deliver them to our next stop! Above and beyond...

We stayed at The Point Villas for three nights and we fell in love with it. It is secluded from the hustle and bustle of the main city centre, creating a special sanctuary without making its guests feel isolated. It is a feast for the eyes. From the lush gardens with lavender dancing in the afternoon breeze to the French Inspired interiors. Everything was in immaculate condition. The views of the bay area was breathtaking and the sunsets left us speechless. The attention to detail was incredible. Everything has been thought of and the gracious hospitality from the hosts from our arrival to our departure was special! Spectacular hosts! We already planning a trip back!

We had four nights in Villa Two ((Ngahere) over New Year’s, absolutely stunning place. Situated round by Acaia Bay roughly 10 minute drive to Taupo city centre.
The Point Villas deserves a 10 star rating. The villas are luxurious, fully furnished with attention to detail everywhere you look. Each Villas is very private, nestled again the bush overlooking amazing views of Lake Taupo.
It is a place to unwind and relax, very peaceful and quiet. We had our own private pool, we could walk down to the lake in a couple of minutes. There is a tennis court, and kayaks if we wanted to use them. We had great weather so we spent a lot of our time in the pool. Having a shower took on a whole new experience, two out of three showers are glass surround, giving the illusion you are having a shower in the gardens, very cool.
Thanks to Peg for making our holiday away very memorable. We had a relaxing time, great start to 2015. I highly recommend The Point Villas and we will certainly be back.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautifully presented.
