“Wow factor, amazing place to stay”
Reviewed 8 January 2015

We had four nights in Villa Two ((Ngahere) over New Year’s, absolutely stunning place. Situated round by Acaia Bay roughly 10 minute drive to Taupo city centre.
The Point Villas deserves a 10 star rating. The villas are luxurious, fully furnished with attention to detail everywhere you look. Each Villas is very private, nestled again the bush overlooking amazing views of Lake Taupo.
It is a place to unwind and relax, very peaceful and quiet. We had our own private pool, we could walk down to the lake in a couple of minutes. There is a tennis court, and kayaks if we wanted to use them. We had great weather so we spent a lot of our time in the pool. Having a shower took on a whole new experience, two out of three showers are glass surround, giving the illusion you are having a shower in the gardens, very cool.
Thanks to Peg for making our holiday away very memorable. We had a relaxing time, great start to 2015. I highly recommend The Point Villas and we will certainly be back.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautifully presented.

We cannot rate this property highly enough. We found it online and corresponded with Peg to get booked. The location is fabulous and the hospitality is wonderful. The villas are perfectly appointed -- 5 star at every corner including heated bathroom floors, towel bars, bathrooms with amazing views, fireplace, fully appointed kitchen, washer and dryer, comfy robes and on and on. This one really overdelivered on our expectations.

We had 2 nights in villa one at the start of a 3 week holiday & it couldn't have been more perfect. The location is absolutely stunning - picturesque views which ever way you look. It is not in the centre of Taupo (although is only a short drive away), but sits looking over the Lake & you feel like you are right in the middle of a secluded little hideaway - perfect for a relaxing, romantic getaway. We arrived on a rather cold NZ day & the fire with the backdrop of waves lapping the shore of the lake was the perfect antidote! The gardens in the compound where the villas are located are breathtaking & the sounds of nature are refreshing.
There are lots of things to do in the Taupo area & Peg was incredibly helpful in making suggestions & assisting with enquiries.
The villa was stocked with all essentials (& then some) by the owners Peg & Brian, which made for a very pleasant stay.
We loved it & will definitely be back to NZ for another stay in the future!

This villa is a little far away from Tapu city, it is a private place, so no one can enter this place without authenticated. I think most people who are rich and famous will live in this place. Becoz it is private and good location for the landscape. The owner Peg is really kind. i made a mistake for the date to arrive, so i arrived there the second day, she said dont worry and let us stay one more night. We r really like the design of this villa one. We have a good view from every room in this Villa. And everything is prepared for us. We cooked by ourself in the villa. It is just like home. This place is good for people who love quiet, becoz there are only residences can arrive this place.

We stayed 3 nights in Villa One and loved it. The Villas are perfectly designed to allow stunning views of the Lake in all rooms (including the spa quality baths attached to both bedrooms). The design is warm and comfortably luxurious. The Villa was stocked - including fruit, basics for breakfast, spices and wine. We enjoyed cooking on the professional grade appliances. Loved the living room fire place on the cool nights. Owners Peg and Brian were gracious hosts - we'll be looking for an opportunity to get back to enjoy this spot again!
