Great place right on waters edge but secure from passing people by a small wall. We stayed in a lake view room which came with a spa and small kitchenette. Very comfortable bed with no noise in the room from outside.

We had the 1 bedroom unit which was really well presented. The lake is on your back door which was really cool. There is a pool which is nothing to write home about but my son didn’t mind. The fill in staff at the time were very friendly and helpful. All in all great value for money.
What a fantastic place to stay - we had an upstairs corner front room right on the lake - walking track outside so always something to see along with the water activity - accommodation had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Lovely hosts who made us very welcome- would highly recommend.
My partner and I spent two nights here for a weekend getaway and were happy with this accommodation. Nice big spa bath which was bigger than we expected, the view is stunning from the front rooms especially when the sun sets in the evenings. Overall it was a great experience
The quality of the mattress was shocking - so thin we could feel the base and hardly slept at all. The cleaner had left doors open and there was a large wet patch of carpet and on top of that every time the people upstairs ran the water we could hear it coming through the pipes. So disappointing especially when you pay top $$.
We took our 4 children to Taupo for two nights, we could have stayed at a friends but decided to treat the kids with somewhere nice. We booked and payed for a room that slept 6 and what we got didn’t even look like the room we booked, two single beds and a king, (this room slept 4) we had to ask for extra beds and the mattresses were literally torn and so very thin that the kids slept on the floor as they could feel every slat in the rollaway. We were told “they could “top and tail” they are teenagers and we had selected their ages when booking and we did not pay that much to “top and tail” we then had to ask for pillows for the disgusting rollaway beds to which they could not find any so we made do. Will not return here and don’t recommend at all.
