My partner and I recently went on the Barbary cruise to the rock carvings. We had a lovely day, the staff are really great and very knowledgeable. Lovely scenery - over all a very enjoyable day out! I would recommend.

We did the 5pm sailing which entitled us to a complimentary drink which we didn't know about beforehand. The byo rule was perfect and the pizza was yummy. We were lucky with the weather as it was brilliant sunshine despite there being fresh snow on the mountain from the previous evening. The Maori rock carvings were great to see and the vibes on the boat were super chilled

We had a really enjoyable evening with friends on this sailing trip. Kerry, the skipper, was a great laugh, knowledgable about the area and very accommodating with putting on music for us and getting us glasses. Would highly recommend, well worth the money.

My boyfriend and I did this tour recently and it was the highlight of our stay in Taupo. It was so beautiful and peaceful heading out on the lake and the carvings were really interesting to see! One of the highlights was being able to swim in the lake; the water was so clear (and surprisingly warmer than what we expected!) and it was something special to be able to see a snow capped mountain in the middle of summer whilst we were swimming! The crew were very informative and made our trip really fun!

We were worried that the rain would be a hamper on our cruise but it was fine we enjoyed the views the front of the boat is the best seat in the house we got the beanbag chairs at the front to see the views were amazing..make sure you wear sunscreen even on rainy days I got a sunburn on my face the Carvings on the rocks were very beautiful good pics.. I would recommend it but on rough days he said people have a tough time with there stomachs if you have young kids you might want to skip this one
