On arrival, check-in was great, the man at the desk was friendly, helpful, and efficient. A little later I approached the desk again and the woman that was there at that time made it seems as if I was a nuisance.
The location of this motel is excellent, just three minutes' walk to many restaurants and pubs, yet totally peaceful. The lake is right across the road, and the views from there are expansive. No views from the rooms, though.
A strange thing was the wifi limit of 500MB. Not that we'd use anything close to that, but it's the only place I've been to that restricted wifi use like that. Even backpacker lodges don't do that! Wifi is weak in room 15, and I'm not sure in which direction it strengthens, if at all.
If you are mobility restricted then ensure that you ask for a bottom level room, as the only access to the top level is by stairs. Parking is right outside, which is a blessing for the mobility restricted and for anyone with heavy luggage!
Breakfast is optional, and ordered with a form the night before. It comprises a collection of little packages of cereals, yoghurt, and such like, and is delivered to your room at the time you request (by the unfriendly woman in our case...)
My biggest concern is that they did not honour my request for a double bed in the bedroom, and instead gave us a room with the only double bed in the lounge, and two singles in the bedroom. The configuration was not a problem for us, but it reflects poorly on the establishment in general.
