Members of my family were booked in for one night (booked And confirmed on Booking.com) several weeks ahead and received a message just one day prior to tell them their booking had been cancelled as Adelphi had a new booking for more than one night! My family, 2 adults and 2 children were already on their way north and couldn’t get any alternative accomodation. This is absolutely unacceptable!
The location of this place is good with easy walking distance to the lake front and shopping etc BUT I wasn't happy with the management of it. On arrival, after a very long and stressful journey , I couldnt pay by EFTPOS as the machine was out of order - so had to go to an ATM to get money out . Thats OK as these things happen. I asked how much was due and was told an amount - which didnt sound correct - but as I didnt have access to wifi at that point I couldnt check my booking so paid - only to find out later that I had been overcharged . When I went to reception to ask for a refund they could only part refund , with a promise to pay the rest in the morning . When I checked out I had to remind them that I was still due the rest of my refund.
We’re a newly blending family and this was our first stop on our first holiday. It was important that our kids all had their own space to accomodate their different ages and stages (6, 9 & 14). We began with a fabulously warm and informative greeting from the owner, free unlimited wifi was a fabulous surprise! 2 large rooms and extra bed in the lounge meant we all had space. Great location easy walk/scooter/skate to the lake, and central town for dinner. Would absolutely recommend 💕

This was a lovely place lots of space and very clean. Staff were wonderful to and very helpful. Beads were great and comfortable. Kitchenette facilities were also wonderful. Would definitely recommend to another family.

A great place to stay. Walking distance to town and the shops, supermarkets, restaurants and the lake shore. Vicki was great host and sent back our left behind radio the next day. Units are an older style but clean and tidy and comfortable. All this at very reasonable price. A bit of traffic and pedestrian noise at night (but it was a Saturday night).
