My wife and I stopped in a studio room for two nights. Although the room was on the snug side, it did not disappoint. From the bed being super comfortable, room being quiet and dark for sleeping to the TV having every channel that Sky offers this hotel had it all.

The hotel is perfectly located to view what New Plymouth has to offer. There are many bars and restaurants nearby and the beach promenade is a few minutes walk.

I really was surprised with how much I enjoyed our time in New Plymouth and the King & Queen hotel suites. I would definitely stop and recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to this area.

Dear Emma and Angus,

Thanks for your review. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay in one of our Left Wing Studios. We agree that the beds are super comfortable. It's great that you discovered the coastal walkway, this a 'must do' when visiting Taranaki.

Thanks again and best regards,

Lovely little Boutique Hotel close to some great Restaurants, Shopping and Coastal walk. Also opposite the famous Len Lye Museum.
The Staff are an absolute Pleasure and I feel that this radiates down from the Manager.
The rooms are quite different from predictable hotel rooms. For example a super leather sofa in all the rooms that we have stayed in, nice chair at the desk. Check out the photos as they are accurate.
Another lovely touch is "Drinks at 5 " with the Staff on some nights and a wee taster of bircher muesli with fresh coffee in the mornings.
We have stayed here 4 times so far and will keep coming back when we visit New Plymouth.
Make sure that you check out "The Social Kitchen" and Monicas across the road for Breakfast or Lunch.
I realise that I sound like a paid for advertisement , but I so love this Hotel and recommend it for a special stay.

Room tip: all the rooms that we have stayed in were great

Dear Kiwicas,

Many thanks for your fantastic review. I'm thrilled to hear that you receive the royal treatment when staying with us. Complimentary bircher, tea and coffee is something that we have just started offering and has been very well received. It sounds like you've enjoyed dining at a number of our associated restaurants too.

I look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

We had a 2 bedroom suite in this beautiful hotel - staff were fantastic and friendly, and our accommodation almost perfect (a few tiny tiny things not worth mentioning). Our beds were extremely comfortable, the shower head huge (bliss), a wonderful full sized bath, full kitchen, and lovely comfortable lounge, plus a huge outdoor verandah with full sized table and chairs. This hotel is situated opposite the Ken Lye Art Gallery, and close to many restaurants, cafes and bars - some great places to eat in New Plymouth. All in all a fabulous place to stay and will be staying there again. Oh - and a TV in each bedroom plus the lounge. 2 bathrooms.

Very centrally located with dozens of good restaurants with in walking distance. Great parking. One block from town shops, two blocks from the beach. Well worth visiting

King and Queen is brilliantly located in the western end of central New Plymouth, right opposite the Len Lye/Govatt Brewster gallery, and attached to some great restaurants and cafes.
Daniel, Luke and the team took great care of us,and were really helpful with suggestions of places to go and spots to eat at. Everyone was really friendly - the housekeepers were absolute sweeties. The room was large and new and we could borrow free bikes to do the cycle way - visible fro our window.
I thoroughly recommend the K&Q - great people, great rooms and great location.

Room tip: For space and a view sk for the seafront rooms
