For our 40th Wedding anniversary we decided to book a meal and and stay the night. The Surprise Tasting Package turned out to be all we could hope for. Beautiful food served by wonderful staff and a lovely room with all we needed to relax after our meal. Being on a main thoroughfare it can have a bit of traffic noise but we didn't notice it and we were right on a corner. Had nice view of Historic church. Overall value for money was a great deal.

Great ambience. Very much a fine dining experience, the interior was reminiscent of the 1920’s and was gorgeous.
The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the food they were serving. They understood what wine would suit what dish and were friendly without being pushy.
The food was gorgeous but small portions so choose wisely if you have a big appetite. I had the fish of the day and it was cooked to perfection. Our fellow diners were equally happy with their choices.
This is not an inexpensive restaurant and is very much ‘special occasion’. A big thumbs up to ‘Table’ restaurant.

This is a lovely small hotel, and just a few small niggles detract from the full five stars. The best asset this hotel has is the staff, who without exception were great. Our first night was noisy; our room was facing a busy main road and as it had no double glazing we didn’t get much sleep. We were upgraded to a quieter suite which solved the problem. The decor is warm and smart, no minimalism here! Some of it needs a bit of retouching but overall it is charming. And there are lovely extras like the small book lined reading room with free port and sherry available. Cosy well stocked bar is a pleasant place after a busy day sightseeing and the dining room is really attractive, opening out onto decks with seating and fireplace amongst a pretty garden. The hotel advertises parking, but has just 6 spaces, though we encountered no difficulty obtaining one. And they add 2-3% to the bill if you pay by credit card.

Fabulous suites in the back of the hotel, off the garden; quiet! Terry was a fantastic host! We met everyone in town at the Dean’s retirement party in the bar...great group of people; loved that town!

Oh what a find and quite by chance too. A boutique hotel with so many surprises, beauty and fun. Colourful, flamboyant, elegant and discreet. A gorgeous cocktail of fabulousness. If that isn’t enough to tempt add a well stocked cocktail bar , wine cellar and an excellent restaurant. This is a place to dress up for and lends itself to a quiet dinner for two or a small group. We had a large comfortable room reached through a pretty garden which also accessed parking. The staff were accommodating, pleasant well trained and welcoming. The food superb. It was a glorious evening which we both enjoyed enormously. If you stay go upstairs to a tiny library with only two armchairs and have a port or a sherry.
