Basic motel, reasonable price. comfortable but slightly let down by the poor finish to the decoration.

We stayed 2 nights we arrived after 8pm & the owner had stayed up & waited for us she was welcoming & friendly. Room was well equipped & spacious we had corner room upstairs with 2 Windows which was nice. Basic cooking facilities, room was clean, tidy, well appointed & comfortable. Good location not far from central city. Room got cleaned everyday & clean towels provided everyday. Nice, simple, clean & well appointed place to stay. We would stay again absolutely & we would recommend to others who are looking for cost effective accommodation.
Decided to spend a night here when we went to pick up a kayak in Hawera. Good location as it wasn't far into the city at all. Good size room, very clean and very quiet. Comfortable beds. Friendly receptionist. Will definitely stay here again :)
Very poor receptionist, her English is limited and she does not acknowledge people waiting. She gave friends of mine the worst room they had, yet she had a better room available? The room has only a few working light bulbs, the interior crowded with many, many beds, very little room to move. Fly spots, dirty mat, a layer of dust, stained curtaining. Very suspect. Over priced for such low end rental.
This motel has lovely staff. It is close by to all facilities that New Plymouth has to offer. The rates are very affordable and the rooms are comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved the fact that a fan was in the room.
