Had a 1 night stay in the honey moon suite room 18, the staff was friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking at getting away for the weekend to relax. Only down flaw but wasn't really a hassle is that we were smokers and had to walk all the way down stairs. Can't wait to come back again! Thank you.More

Pros: Good location on Fenton, walk in 15 minutes to supermarket, restaurants and CBD. Unit was clean and inviting, we were in #28 which had advantage of a balcony overlooking the smallish heated pool. Good standard of utensils in the kitchenette. The cleaning person was wonderful and obviously takes pride in her work, sorry can't remember your name. There is ample off street parking free of charge.
Cons: No windows or air in the 2nd bedroom. Kitchenette is small with not enough storage or bench space for a family to comfortably self cater.
General: Reception on arrival and departure was matter of fact but not welcoming or grateful. A smile goes a long way, Bathrobes are on request with a lecture on how families (of which we are) tend to ruin them. You cannot use them to go to the pool even though it's winter. Despite this we enjoyed our 3 night getaway and would probably stay at Emerald again because of its cleanliness and location.

Location for us is extremely important. Being a close 15 minute walk from town, and a lot of the attractions (Te Puia, Whakarewarewa, Redwood forest to name a few) makes us very popular with a lot of guests.

Unit very warm and lovely to have a huge spa bath that was a wonderful surprise especially in Rotorua during winter. Would be better if there was a window in the spa/bathroom. Overall the beds and unit was very comfortable. Hosts are great.

The spa baths sure are a hit, especially after being out and about exploring our lovely region during the cold months.
We are sorry but some of our units do not have windows in the bathrooms as we share a wall with the motel next door to us.
We do get a lot off feedback about the king sized beds in all of our units being comfortable, and we are glad that you had a nice relaxing time while here.
Next time you stay with us, we can arrange to have you on the sunnier side of the motel with a window in the bathroom.

The room was very clean - the staff extremely friendly and the corner spa bath in the room so you could relax and watch the TV while you soaked was the best!

We spent two nights here nd were very happy all round.The manager was very helpful on our arrival snd explained the area and the facilities well. The room was clean and spacious and gave us an opportunity to relax and enjoy the local area. We even took advantage of the rather large spa in a room ...brilliant.
