Choose this restraunt over other Indian reviews as have been there before and since they have won more awards, lovely authentic food. Naan bread was very fresh! Service good.. Too full on for my dad. However deffintly deserves all the awards as could not fault food! Lovely warm atmosphere as well.

My wife and I ate here while on holiday in Rotorua and were mightily impressed at both the quality of the food, and the service at this restaurant.

The meat used was of a high quality and the dishes were spiced just right - enough to be interesting, but not overpowering.

Went to Indian Star with 35 close friends and family to celebrate my 21st. They were extremely helpful with decorating, allergy requirements and drinks. Ray as usual was an excellent host and all the servicemen, even surprising me with singing happy birthday. Truly appreciate the hospitality, we will be back.
