Our daughter had chosen indian for tea as we strolled eat-street. It was really busy, but we got a table straight away. Great service and lovely food. We will be back next holiday.

I have been eating at Indian Star for at least 10 years and I can honestly say it is my favourite Indian restuarant anywhere. Ray the Manager is well known in the area and makes all diners welcome. The menu is traditional, however the chefs are all from India so the authenticity is spot on. They cater for the kiwi palette, however if you have a more cosmopolitan taste they can easily accommodate your needs. Their Peshwari naan is a favourite of mine.

We chose this restaurant for dinner after making a booking earlier in the day while walking in the Eat Street area. The warm welcome we received was just the start of an excellent meal. The standard of décor and helpful staff enhanced our experience of enjoying delicious food - great wine selection as well. The heat of spicy food was discussed to suit our tastes, the food was piping hot but most of all we liked the rice which we shared. It was colourful, tasty and had added pistachios, sultanas etc. - quite the nicest Indian restaurant, since travelling in India!

We reserved a table as we have learnt that lesson before. Great food even as judged hy Englis family who have high expectations.

Dined here on a Wednesday night with my children and my parents. Service was prompt, table well set and clean, restaurant was fully booked but we still got our food quickly. The waiter was friendly and helpful, advising us on quantities we'd require. The starters and mains were delicious and decent serving sizes. We were all very pleased with our dinner out!
