Good size rooms, Clean, very comfortable bed, had a great nights sleep.veryhelpful friendly staff, who were able to recommend several places to eat as we were looking for Thai. The swimming pool was great and the hot spa pools very relaxing. Liked the eco ethos. Within walking distance of all the restaurants.

Stayed at the Aura in a rotorua and found everything perfect. The kids loved the pool and the mineral pools were great to relax in. Great facilities and location. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again.

My wife and I spent 4 great nights for a short break.
We were greeted by Ellen who was friendly and professional and provided us with local info along with the hotel amenities, and knowing we were arriving early ensured our room was ready.
A hand written welcome note was provided in the room which definitely gives that personal touch.
The room (upstairs studio) was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, plus the aircon was perfect and the bed very comfortable.
The pool area was clean and the pool a perfect temperature to cool off without being too cold.
The mineral pools are a nice bonus to relax after a busy day along with the secure shed for mountain bike storage.
The complex is in a great location, walking distance to the Lake, Government Gardens, Eat Street and other bars, cafes and restaurants, whilst a short drive to the Polynesian Spar, Gondola and Redwoods.
Thank you team Aura (Ellen, Chloe and Nick and all other staff) for your friendliness throughout, your work towards the presentation of the Aura and our great stay.

What a great place to stay!
The pool was the highlight - warm, clean and well maintained. Staff were super lovely. Facilities were fantastic for our family. Can’t get much better with location. Short stroll to the lakefront and government gardens. A very thoughtful accommodation provider. Very well equipped and all round great place to stay!

Very friendly and warm welcome on arrival. We were slightly worried about being from Auckland only a few days after the Covid border opened but shouldn’t have been. Not only at Aura but everywhere we went in Rotorua people were happy to have us visit. Very sweet welcome note in the room too and a little bottle of milk in the fridge. Nice little touches. The bed was very comfortable and while the rooms are getting a bit on in age they were immaculately clean. Interesting note in the kitchen about the local water and info next to the pool about heating it from under the ground. Would definitely stay again. Thanks team!
