We went to this motel on a rainy weekend earlier this month. Didn't have any regrets as enjoyed every bit of the evening in the private hot spa in our apartment. The apartment was just so cozy and felt like home away from home..
The spa experience was just out of the world and refreshing. Must visit for short stays and colder months of the year

We spent one night at the Sport of Kings, in low season. Coming from Auckland we left very early in the morning, and were very pleased that our room was available at 9 AM. There is a kitchenette comprising fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and French press. We were surprised when the owner came to our room with coffee for the press and a small bottle of milk. Bathroom facilities include a separate toilet - very convenient. A huge bonus : there is a heated pool on the property and 2 private spa rooms with large Jacuzzis. We spent a lovely half hour in one of them. The minuses: there is no storage in either the bedroom or the bathroom. There are a few hangers on the wall. Living out of our suitcase for one night was acceptable, for more time might be inconvenient. Breakfast in the room is available for about the price in town, but there is no table in the room, just a narrow bar and stools. The staff is very welcoming and if we return to Rotorua it will be to this motel.

Stayed here for 2 nights in a one bedroom spa room. Service was great and the freshly ground coffee was a hit after a long drive.
Our room featured a spa off the bedroom which was really nice and a great way to relax at the end of a busy day.
The best feature, especially in the middle of winter was the heated outdoor swimming pool. It's pretty nice having a dip anytime no matter what the weather.
We'll be back!

Absolutely amazing hospitality! The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. They also gave good tips on our travel. The rooms, albeit basic, were spacious and comfortable. Our room also had a private spa pool, which was fantastic. Good value for money!

Amazing service and they have a Tesla charger that is compatible with my Renault Zoe. Thanks for the charge, which saved me the humiliation of running out of battery! Great cafe within walking distance.
