Our cabin was immaculately clean and had everything we could need for a short stay.
The check-in staff were helpful and friendly.
Location wise the camp could not be better, a short, private walk to a private beach on the lake (I managed the walk on crutches), or a short drive to Eat Streat, and other attractions.
The hot pools are hot, the swimming pool refreshing and there are plenty of places to sit and relax.
We particularly enjoyed the way our dog was welcome, grumbles? a little hard to find without GPS turned on.

My wife and I set out to spend a few days away as my wife had been very ill in a Intensive care ward for five days. We chose Cosy Cottage because it said on- line that it was quiet and peaceful. The day after we arrived there was very loud banging coming from the upstairs room above the kitchen. After about two and a half hours of this my wife went to reception to ask if it could possibly stop. The rather tall large lady, that appeared to be in charge, immediately went into a verbal rampage saying that the work has to be done even in prime time and that we would has have to put up with it. My wife did not even get the chance to explain why we needed peace and quiet. Dawn, the lady that checked us in, was exceptionly nice. But this woman should never be let loose in a job dealing with the public.
Also, although the place has been modernised in places , it appears to be at the expense of basic services. there used to be a fresh water tap for every site at the rear. Now the taps are still there but are not working except for about two. The emergency fire reel has also been disabled.

This is a cozy holiday park about a 15 minute walk from the CBD. They have a few hot pools and a swimming pool, and also a steam oven that guests may use. The powered spots are partially surrounded by trees and hedges, that provide some privacy.

Service is good and they provide a lot of advise on what to do and see in and around Rotorua.

The toilet facilities were not very clean during our stay, and needs a proper cleaning. This is the main reason for the average score.

We stayed for 3 nights. Overall it was a good stay.

We stayed one night here on a powered site in a campervan. The campground is just 10 minutes by foot to Rotorua town and the lake begins right behind it. So it is very conviniently located. Nevertheless the facilities could need an update to add some flair to the stay.

Dear Guest

Thanks for your stay with us. Apologize some facilities is out dated. This is 70 year history holiday park, very earliest in Rotorua. We did try hard too lift up after we take business. Last year we refurbished 18 of 25 rooms. We replaced new vinyl of swimming pool, installed new decking, etc. We will keep going and wish give you a better situation next time. After we spend hundreds thousand dollars, we still keep same rates which is 10% or more lower than another holiday park in town. We do have unique feature, i.e pure mineral spa pool, geo-thermal steam oven to DIY hangi, back yard hot water sand lake beach. Expect to receive you again in near future. Cheers.
