This thermal park offers everything from tent sites through powered sites to motel units and self-contained cottages. We stayed three nights in one of the latter, and were very pleased.
The resort has a steaming mud pot in the middle of the grounds, and the short walk to the lake is on a raised causeway between bubbling thermal springs. At the lake, you can take a chartered shovel, dig down until the hot water flows in, regulate the temperature with lake water, and relax in your own spa pool. With less effort, you can enjoy one of three enclosed thermal pools featuring water up to 42°C and then jump into the solar-heated freshwater pool.
Our cottage was spacious and well lit, with a good kitchenette, sitting/dining area, modern bathroom, and beds for 5, all at a good price. There was a flat-screen TV with about 20 channels. A radiator that used thermal water to heat the building was very efficient, and welcome on cool evenings.
The park is very efficiently run. Check-in was quick and efficient, staff were helpful, public areas were very clean, and quiet and security were enforced in a friendly and professional maner. The laundry facility was well-maintained. The park can be crowded on week-ends, which means less privacy and more demand for pools and steam ovens, but the resort's popularity is easy to understand given the excellent value for money.
