We had a family room with attached toilet and shower. Really good stay for the price they offer. Feel free to book them in. Loved the stay. Common kitchen and toilets also available. Friendly staff. Cheers

This place is fantastic! The hostel layout creates a very social vibe. The staff are very friendly, informative and helpful. The rooms vary from private en suites to dorms. Would recommend to anyone staying in Rotorua.
Several key features that made this place unique. First, easy access to a grocery store with double kitchens for easy cooking. Second, the staff were really friendly. I was there over Christmas, and we participated in a White Elephant style gift exchange that was awesome. The owners are beyond helpful. If you are interested in booking things in the Rotorua area, they can also help out with some discounts, so feel free to talk to them. I highly recommend this hostel for anyone in the area.
We had 2 private rooms, one with an en-suite and one without. The lady who greeted us was lovely, very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were a good size and very good value for money! The en suite was a little old and could do with a little refurb but that didnt effect the satu what so ever. Would recommend to anyone in rotorua!
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and instantly knew it would be a great accommodation! My 2 friends and I were taken into the back house and the three of us were in a room together. Going from accommodation to accommodation you do not always get this lucky, but the lady at Funky Green was kind enough to do this for us. We were alone in this mini house our entire stay. The toilets were kept clean and we were able to get great recommendations from the staff. Great place to stay in Rotorua and was a great location to everything as well. My friends and I walked everywhere!
I stayed in a Double room for one night only. Unfortunately. The staff were really lovely & helpful and the hostel itself was really well run, clean and tidy. It was a dream to stay in - I only wish I had a longer stay.
