We went up for dinner at someone’s recommendation. I was a bit dubious given the cost but we had a lovely dinner. Although it was a buffet, it was of decent quality with lots of choices. The view was great. It’s expensive so go hungry or you might not get your money’s worth. The go carts looked fun but we didn’t do it.

Next time you will have to try the Luge, it is great fun!

It’s worth it it just to get the gondola up to the top, awesome views of the city and lake Rotorua. The restaurant was also great, really good buffet food. But the luge is the best part. Never done anything like it before but bloody hell it was fun!
The only bad part was missing out on doing the Skyswing. Despite buying a ticket for it, it was closed early for no reason. We got our money back but still heaps disappointed. Also, be aware they won’t sell tickets for the luge 15 before they close. Despite signage saying open til 8pm, we lined up for a ticket at around 7.50pm and weren’t able to have another go. One very disappointed kid with me at the time, so plan ahead!

This was so much fun. If you've never used a luge before, like myself, then don't worry it's easy to use and staff will instruct you. After the first luge ride down you'll get the hang of it. We took 3 rides for each of the 3 tracks but sadly the advanced wasn't open when we arrived around 10:30 am. Don't know if it was under maintenance or what. Helpful tip for future luge riders, do not fully stop you might get stuck on a hilly patch. If you do, use your body weight and lean into the hill or use the scoot your butt method. Also, the restaurant has a really good buffet if you're hungry. Fun experience, highly recommended.

I visited mid morning on a hot sunny day. The views from the top are amazing. Definitely a place to visit when you're in Rotorua. An added bonus was the wine tasting that was available 🍷

If you go to Rotorua you should not miss this! So much fun and adventure! Boring? NOT! You climb into the gondola, the door closes and then it starts up, up, up the mountain, no you can't get out until you reach the top! If you are scared of heights, then this ride will cure that problem. Once you get up there then ride the luge, take the 5 pass, you just start getting the hang of driving after the third ride down. Good food at the top also - there is also a hang glider you can take from the top to the bottom, and then get a free ride back up on the gondola. See! So much fun.
