Experience an evening of ceremonial ritual, powerful cultural performance, storytelling & hangi feasting. Share in the Powhiri, our ancient ceremony of welcome before entering our pre-European Maori Village nestled within a native Tawa Forest. The village comes alive with sights, sounds & activity of days gone by including haka, poi, tattooing, weaving, carving and arts of warrior training. We had a great night out with 10 of our family including 4 children between 7 and 13.
The bus driver was amazing from start to end! Very engaging and humorous, had everyone in stitches laughing and smiling.
The traditional Maori show was terrific and informative and the food was amazing.

The staff went out of their way to sing my nephew a happy birthday sing in front of everyone that really made him feel special

Will recommend to everyone! Keep up the great work.

This was a terrific evening of entertainment, food, and education. The entire experience was superb. The crew was expert in their presentations and they made the evening fun. What stuck out the most to me was the passion with which they performed. They truly care that people understand the Maori culture and heritage. The second most notable part of the evening was how much attention was paid to us as visitors. Everyone from the bus driver to the performers took time to get to know each of the guests, make sure that everyone had what they needed, and that everyone was enjoying themselves. Overall, a must do! The first part is outside so if you are there in winter, be sure to bring hats an gloves to stay warm.

There were two options for Maori village. Am told this is better. It was great. From the starting dance welcome to the unique way of information sharing, the music and finally the food. We had the privilege of meeting the gentleman who owns the place though he lives in Australia. He was visiting and we had a good time getting to share notes on ancient cultures of our two countries. A wonderful must do experience.

We had a fabulous evening at the Maori Tamaki village and loved getting a little taste of Maori culture. The evening was really varied with some performances, some activities to join in and some opportunities to ask questions. We particularly enjoyed learning the Haka! The feast at the end was excellent and they catered for a number of dietary requirements. Thanks for such a brilliant experience, we would highly recommend this to anyone in Rotorua - well worth the money!
