Unit was very clean and appeared to be recently renovated. Beds were comfortable. Included a kitchen with a small fridge and stove. Great location, close to ferry, bus station, shops, grocery store and restaurants. Owner was very helpful in planning excursions.
We had a deluxe studio with two balconies, one of which was absolutely massive with dining table and chairs. Great for sitting at in the evening with a glass of wine.
Good laundry facilities, always welcome when you are away for a while, and helpful owner, Reid, and his wife, who rectified the lack of Internet problem, quickly and efficiently.This was our first stay ever in a motel and we were so glad we'd booked it. We loved having kitchen facilities where we could make our own breakfast leaving maximum sightseeing opportunities, of which there were many in lovely Paihia.
The Austria motel offers self-catering rooms. The rooms are perfectly clean. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to be able to cook for two persons. If you have noisy neighbours you'll probably have a problem. We did not and we slept well.
The motel is very well situated. Close to all the sights and action around and in Paihia. There are washing machines and dryers downstairs.
This motel is very comfortable with all the basic amenities. We especially liked having a balcony. It is centrally located and very quiet. The hosts, Reid and Ann, were very friendly and helpful. It was our second time to this motel and hope to return again.
It is well located, few blocks away from wharf and bus stop.
Our room was spacious, with comfortable armchairs, table with chairs and tv cable. It also had a small kitchen with electric stove and kettle, toaster, kitchen tools and fridge. Complimentary tea and soluble coffee were available. Bathroom was clean; it included a bathtube with hot water enough for two short showers (room had a 45 liters electrical heater). Balcony was a nice detail, weather permitting an ideal place to have breakfast or other meal.
Wifi was included in the price; connectivity was great.
The only issue was that the room was on the first floor by stairs and the limited availability of hot water (we have to wait for a while for water to heat again).
Great relation price/ quality!!!
