Jason and Stacey are excellent hosts. Roomy accomodation with comfortable bed, kitchenette and a patio. A refreshing pool to cool off in. Lots of birds singing nearby. Very enjoyable. Free parking is available.

Set up on the hill this motel is an easy walk from Paihia but far enough to be calm and quiet. We had a large family group and the BBQ and outdoor seating worked really well for us and the separate areas meant other family groups could have their own space too. The communal areas were appreciated and the teens liked the wifi.

First up, have to take exception with Phil M in a previous review.... Jason is a great guy, who knows his stuff. That from a UK hotelier and former UK Hotel Inspector and somebody who is travelling the World for 9 months so can write with personal knowledge of Motels in Aus and NZ and anywhere else you care to mention. Just saying and just saying because I do take umbridge when people have a pop...

This is a motel. It offers good value. It is not the Ritz, what it is, is a good motel, which offers all the facilities you need for a few days stay.

Excellent bed, brilliant wifi, ok shower, plenty of room, quiet, near the centre of town and for around $100+ NZ a night a very good place to stay.

Loads to do - Jason will help.

So in summary. Do stay here. Jason does not respond to TA reviews - probably because he likes the client to have the last word. So here is mine. Forget any "odd" moaning minnies and look at the bigger picture. These guys have run a successful business for 10 years. If they were rubbish they would not be here. But they are, so work it out for yourself.

Finally thanks for the extra bandwith so I could post on masters20152016.com - dedication at the bottom of my last NZ review.

Respect.

The area is good for touring , apts clean and comfortable . Could do with better water pressure in shower but that's being picky . Amenities good and not too far into town . If you like boats this is the resort for you !!

Room Tip: Room 12 a good one

We had a beautiful view of the water from our balcony. The rooms were immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. Very close to Paihia and attractions. Quiet in the evening. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: several stairs to climb if upstair room. We had an upstair room with a lovely view.
