Disappointed it did not have any view. Clean comfortable room very quiet other than the in room ac/heat which made small but irritating noise constantly. Had to sleep with pillow over my head. Not worth the price. Not likely to stay again. Likely better value elsewhere in town closer to shops and restaurants. This was too far away to walk
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We don't advertise that we have sea views. We do offer garden view rooms however. Glad you found the hotel clean. Not sure if you were aware the reception is manned 24/7 so we could have address your heat pump issue if you had contacted us.
Present hotel near the centre of Paihia. 10 minutes walk to pier and restaurants.
Staff are really helpful & friendly.
Great laundry service (2 NZ$ for wash with washing detergent)
Ample car parking, outside your room if you’re lucky.
Bar is pleasant and well stocked
Pool is adequate, maybe small for some.
Restaurant is good with single option buffet on Fridays
Rooms are air conditioned and well decorated , ours had linked king size bed.
Lovely large powerful shower. With all toiletries provided.
Flat screen TV, coffee making, iron & hair dryer all provided

The room was somewhat cramped. It lacked even a toaster. It was upstairs, with no luggage lift. The "cold" water often ran hot and took over 5 minutes to cool down. The cane armchairs had adequate cushioning for a while but not suitable for an evening's TV viewing.
The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was on second floor with outdoor stairs and very unsafe. We asked for some water to our room, and that was a big problem for the reception and no water arrived. At breakfast, it was bad selection and almost emty when we arrived 25 minutes before the ending.
Great room and everything we needed at hand catering for our dog with bed and bowls was wonderful, thank you we will definitely stay again and wonderful friendly staff. All lining and towels beautiful clean and the room was warm for those chilly nights
