We come back to The Breakwater Motel every year we’re in New Zealand. Must be 10 years since we first started to visit. Nowhere else to stay in The Bay of Islands for us. Great location, refurbished a few years ago and in amazing condition, AC, Sky cable TV & # 12 has heated floors. Lyn & Ken are knowledgeable hosts and know The Bay inside out. Hope to see them again real soon.

A great motel in an excellent location although there is some traffic noise. We had an excellent unit with fantastic views. The unit was beautifully furnished with a good kitchen and great bathroom. Everything in Paihia is within walking distance.
Requested view of sea of which we were given, beautiful view. Walking distance to everything. Clean and tidy. Lovely hosts. Top quality motel. Would stay again and will recommend to our friends and family.
July 2023 - Three night stay. Very nice property. Family run, friendly, very clean and orderly rooms, well appointed for self-catering, nice location across the road from water. Very walkable to the small town of Paihia and some great recommendations for local eateries from the proprietors. Very close (5 minute drive) to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, our primary objective. Our room was a one-bedroom seaview with a beautiful view onto Bay of Islands, and it was very suitable to our needs and very comfortable. Good Job!
