Snapper was so fresh and a treat to find hand cut chips all comes wrapped individually in paper. Recommend sit outside under the umbrellas to add to a great experience. Must finish the meal with an ice cream from duck island they sell in individual cups.

BEST and I mean THE BEST food ever. From fish and chips, oysters,garlic bread, and burgers to the fabulous seafood platter. The food and service were the finest I've enjoyed in New Zealand and overseas for a long while. We sat at an outside table on the lawn and enjoyed a view of the beach and sunset while we ate. Well done JFC. I'm coming back.

Disappointing given the reviews. Small pieces of overcooked fish (snapper) in thick dry batter (each peice was ~70% batter). Chips were undercooked and floury. Expensive for what it was ($29.50, plus $3 aioli). Would not recommend.
Hi Ternnz - Sorry to read this - did you talk to any of our staff about this? Nothing came back to Louise or me, so I guess you didn't - we won't always get it perfect so if we slip up it would be better to sort on the night rather than from your laptop - for what you claim to have been served is not the norm and it would have been nice to have had a chance to put things right. We had dinner here on our first night in Paihia. Very good seafood done well and served very simply - it's all about the taste!
