A simple concept that offered us a wonderful relaxed dining experience, a great few beverages and tasty dinner. A stunning location- The service was awesome- the food was excellent- nice to also have a great selection of beer and wine to choose from. The best Fish and Chips we've had in a long time. Fabulous food, setting, staff and atmosphere. A simple menu of fish and chips let’s this restaurant produce superb food. We had perfectly cooked fresh fish and fabulous fries served in paper with home made tartare sauce and salad. We will be back next time in Paihia.

Exceptional meal, wonderful fresh fish, simply cooked to enhance the flavour with a rarely found crisp and light batter. Terrific New Zealand beers and wines complement the simple menu. Entrees and deserts are also available. Prices are extraordinarily reasonable for meals of this caliber. Relaxed and stylish decor enhance an enjoyable dining experience. A genial host goes all out to ensure your meal is a memorable experience.

We’d parked across the road and decided to pop in when they opened at 5pm.
Although a little unorthodox, we weren’t disappointed.
Our fish and chips were served in paper, which we opened up at our table & ate them (in the paper) using the wooden knife & fork provided. (Eco friendly!)
We added a small salad to our fish and chips, and all of it was delicious.

Happened by the restaurant "jfc", and knew we wanted to eat there. They serve full meals as well as only entrees, with a wine list provided. The fish was freshly prepared, served wrapped in paper such as you'd receive in UK. It was hot, tasty, and well worth waiting for opening hours. In conversation with the staff, "jfc" only opened 3 weeks earlier, but was formerly a fish/seafood restaurant on this location previously. Great meal, enjoyed with friends.
