Paihia is a great place to explore Northland and the bay of islands from, all the tour and activity operators are based here and all class of tourist are catered for. There are good restaurants, bars, cafes and shops.
The Motel is situated 3 minutes from the CBD. 5 minutes from the Ferry wharf and bus station. it offers family rooms with two seperate bedrooms, which consists of a lounge dining room, equipped kitchen and separate shower toilet. all was well kept, clean and tidy. single rooms are also available. The staff were friendly and helpful. rooms can be cleaned daily or you can do it. I was there for 4 days, my car didn't move for two days. I will use this motel again.

Room Tip: A family a couple of kids or older people with friends, two separate bedrooms from the lounge area. means u can be together but have privacy

Stayed with my wife whilst diving in area. Staff very friendly and helpful, location very close to water front with lots of shops and restaurants, rooms are not 5 star but are very clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast is available from 6:30 am and is freshly cooked at a local restaurant and delivered to your room.
If you want the Hilton you will be disappointed If you want good clean family accomodation this is the place for you

We had a very pleasant week long stay at the Tui. Our children enjoyed their 'holiday home' and loved playing on the trampoline and the playground at the adjacent Paihia School. The location was great - just a short walk to town. Everything we needed in the kitchen was provided, the beds comfortable, wi-fi reception excellent and the shower had just the right water pressure. Would have been nice if there was another fan for the two bedroom unit as it was occasionally a bit stuffy after having being out all day. One night there was a bit of noise from a local house's party, but they quietened down by 11 so all good. The staff and owner were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The motel is in a good location in Paihia, only a few minutes walk from the seafront (but so is everything). The motel looks a little tired, my unit had some unusual renovation features (see picture). No A/C, but the building itself is cool inside and windows can be opened. WiFi is included, but was very unreliable in my unit. Self service laundry available between 10 - 17 hrs at a cost. Very helpful staff, but sometimes hard to get hold of. I would probably not stay there in really hot weather.
