Owner description: Come sailing on Northland’s own tall ship! You can help set the sails, ride on the bowsprit, climb the rigging, or alternatively you can relax while our crew does the work. Morning cream tea and a delicious BBQ lunch are included. The ship is a member of the Northland Sustainable Tourism Charter and operated by a charitable trust. Profits from day sails are used to develop youth in Northland.

This was my last day in NZ after 6 months. I was really in doubt if I should book it or not, because of the price. I'm SO happy I finally decided too book this trip. It was one of the best experiences in NZ!!
You defenitely get value for your money! Relaxed, good atmosphere, happy crew, great team, good BBQ food and drinks, amazing views, we could swim or climb the rigging, sail the ship, snorkle (with gear provided by the knowledgable crew),.... GREAT GREAT GREAT

Thank noaniem

Kia ora and we're so delighted that you didn't get put off by the price.... we think it's actually pretty good value for what you get so we appreciate your feedback. And even better that it was one of your best experiences - our aim is to create memories! Thank you for sharing and we'd love to see you again if you return.

We joined the crew and motored out of Russell at 10am with perfect weather. The crew were fantastic and served up scones and coffee which were delicious.

We had a tour around the beautiful Bay of Islands before stopping off at one of the islands for a swim and walk up to the top to give beautiful panoramic views.

We shuttled back to the ship after about an hour for lunch which was again delicious and the under full sail headed back to Russell.

The crew were brilliant and overall it was superb day!

Thank philipgibb
