Stayed in two bedroom apartment. Beds comfortable and rooms nice and dark at night. Well equiped kitchen and big spa bath. Lots of room in lounge area and master bedroom. Good value for money and will stay again. We had a beach-facing apartment with balcony and it was lovely to sit out there and watch the sunrise and sunset. We found it fairly quiet and our sleep was not disturbed.
We stayed for 2 nights, 4th & 5th June 2021. Checked in no prob, we had to change rooms each night. It was our fault because we booked one night, then another after deciding on 2 nights. We were close to the stairway, which is so noisy its not funny. People going up and down the stairs sound like a helicopter in the air, the echo is amazing.
The first morning getting woken up by everyone leaving from top floor wasn't enough, we had our next door neighbour sitting on the balcony singing his head off pissed as a fart with a cruiser in his hand. We told the reception, who came and seen them about an hour later, we had dressed and on our way by then.
The next morning we checked out and I had left 2 very expensive jackets in the wardrobe. I didn't realise until a week later and rang the reception telling them I had left them there. Not a jacket in sight, either the cleaners are not doing their job properly or they are very, very dishonest. If they had done their job properly, they would have called that day when they checked the wardrobe to let me know to pick them up. Wouldn't stay here again if you paid me.
The reception staff were phenomenal and so helpful to us during our 11 night stay. Maddie and one other staff member ( sorry can not remember his name) were always accommodating if we had any questions or if we were not happy with something. Some of the room service attendants were also very friendly and helpful.
The room was fantastic and very roomy. LOVED the spa in the room! When you read about a spa in the room you expect one in the bathroom with the shower but not here!!! A full spa in the room was a great way to unwind on some of our stressful days.
The view to the beach was great.
Loved being able to go for a walk at night to see all the wonderful art lit up as it was all so close.
Plenty of parking was great too but I do think there should be allocated parking to each room.
I will however just mention this:
We were long stay visitors and the a couple of the room attendants were not too accommodating some days. We were supposed to have room service everyday but on a couple of consecutive days we had to ask for it to be done. The laundry lady got cranky all because we did not put our towels down on the floor and when we arrived back to our room later in the afternoon we noticed that nothing had been done to our room. When the cleaning staff came in they asked if we would like clean towels and we said yes please. Our bin had not been emptied so we knew nothing had been done besides towels dumped on our unmade bed. This happened a couple of times. When I asked to have our sheets changed after 3 days one of the attendants said oh I’ll do it tomorrow and I said that’s a waste of time as we will be leaving the following day after. She then said fine I’ll do it today then. Felt like it was a bit too much of an inconvenience.
We kept our room as clean as we could to make their job easy for them as we could see they were really busy some of the time. I will also mention the stairs were so noisy that every morning we were woken up with clang, clang, clang people going up and down. Not a lot could be done about it but just for your reference so you know what to expect. The walls were quite thin also and if inconsiderate people decided to have a spa after 10pm you will hear it so don’t try to sleep…
We had a 1 brm unit facing the sea. Great view and location. Beds were comfy but bedspread was dirty. The room was cleanish but could do with a proper clean- in corners, dusting up high, clean skirtings, etc. Place is looking tired with frayed carpet, peeling wallpaper, wall marks and missing curtain hooks.
