we had booked into a hotel in napier via booking.com me and my family got over to napier went to check in turns out this hotel had never heard of it and certainly did not have the apartment we had booked the owners did help us to find somewhere else to stay which was at the Bamboo Lodge and i am so glad this happened it was a prime spot to stay the beach was just around the corner or a 10 min walk to safer water for my daughter, the fruit guy was just over the road, CBD was a 5min drive and the owners and their staff we so friendly and extremely helpful they were just fantastic i would recommend this place and am so glad we ended up here.

Ended up here after not being able to find anywhere else after a long drive from Wellington. Would not have chosen it but it was late and we had little choice. That said staff were very nice and helpful. Place had free WiFi and good tv with movie channel. The place was real retro 70s but in fairness was clean and tidy, bed comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. All said and not a bad experience and I would stay again.

I stayed in the Bamboo motel in a busy weekend in Napier, due to the Cricket world cup. The motel is a bit run down, but very clean, the beds are very comfortable and everything you need in a self-contained apartment is present. The hosts own this place for about 8 months now, and they do a great job and are willing to help you with everything. They want to upgrade the place. Wifi is also very good.

Amazing manager Brian makes this a great place to stay. Very spacious units, comfortable, clean and so quiet for a great sleep. Manager makes stay better than expected. Free parking here. Very good for short stays. Great value for money. Recommended

70's atmosphere, clean, helpfull staff, located along the road (as you can expect from a motel), but this one is very close and the road quite busy.

Room tip: Avoid the rooms close to the road
