Property is within good distance of motorway to Hastings and Wellington and yet surprisingly quiet at night. Also close to supermarkets, lotto, chemist, bakery and dairy.

Pool was fabulous (nice and cold on a hot day) and well maintained and very clean. We found spa pool a little overpowering with the chlorine but upon speaking to staff found it had just been "dosed".

Welcoming and very attentive and worried about our breakfast requirements on Christmas morning. They were under extreme pressure with staffing issues and yet remained cheerful and calm.

They took me under their wing during family issues experienced with a chat and a drink in their house one night which was most appreciated.

This Motel was really good. Clean with all kitchenette stuff, comfy beds, and spacious, with good bathroom. The owner / Manager was very friendly and really helpful when we need information, the bonus is a small swimming pool with special room for spa. Close to main road, but we have a decent sleep, no problem at all from any noises from the road. Location a bit far away from city centre, but if you have car, this should not be a problem.

We booked two rooms here for the Art Deco festival and we weren't disappointed. Clean and comfortable with all mod-cons expected for the price. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, which improved our rating markedly.
