Our meal here was delicious. We sat in the window and had a view of the river through the trees and it was beautiful! The atmosphere was romantic. The service was attentive. Great for special occasions. Didn't wait long for each course. Would return again.

Every mouthful a taste sensation. Kudos to the incredibly talented chefs for such wonderful food and the beautiful presentation. Fantastic evening from the initial greeting by the great wait staff until leaving with our very happy bellies.

Excellent service, superb meal quality. Reasonable waiting time, beautiful but obscured Waikato River views from selected tables.
Mains small but well presented and beautifully cooked. You require separate sides.
Really reserve this restaurant for special occasions and maybe corporate gatherings.
Elegant ambience. Matching wine options but we found these to be very expensive.

Dinner on an Saturday night was excellent. The only negatives were that the initial service was sparse and the pears in the rocket, pear and parmesan salad had gone brown. I suspect they had more walk up diners than they expected as the restaurant wasn't full. It took a long time for the water and the bread to arrive. There was no amuse busche, which we have come to expect from restaurants of this standard.

There was a small menu in three courses with good choice. The tempera oysters were excellent as was the goats cheese soufflé with the strong flavoured cheese well balanced with semi dried tomatoes and olives. For mains we chose a beef and lamb dish, both superbly cooked with good accompaniments.

The wine list had a small range of good wines available by the glass. .

The venue is lovely, overlooking the river.

The substantial nature of the first two courses meant we had noon for dessert but the choices looked interesting. $200 for two courses and 5 glasses of wine. Good value and recommended.
