Lovely host! Beautiful place! Clean and stunning rooms

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 Feb 2022
Lovely host who took us on last minute as a dissapointing previous motel we had to cancel. The rooms are beautifully clean, large wall mounted TV, sky, full stove pool and gym, we couldn't be happier we booked here and would honestly come back down regularly to support such a lovely place. A+++

From check in to check out everything was great. Friendly and jovial hosts make you feel really welcomed. Had a newbie check me in and he was a laugh! Had a ground level room and was totally adequate, really clean and tidy. Air con was awesome. Great TV. Shower pressure amazing. Beds were OK.....I am fussy thou.
One little hint.... upgrade the instant coffee sachets to Brazilian....the Supreme blend is not as good quality and for an extra $10 a ctn it's totally worth it. Overall 9.5/10

If you book here ask for the studios or rooms on the ground floor that are single story. The double story units are old tired and very noisy.
The main entrance door after hours is slammed by other guests to close and wakes people up.
The sky window- did not have a good curtain so right in your eyes first thing in the morning was a bright light.
Pipes in the walls rattled and banged and made noises when other units were using taps.
Tea coffee shampoo etc was not replaced and only enough for one person was supplied for three people.
It was ok but did not live up to photos and was overpriced for what was once possibly a nice place. The units in the single story looked much nicer.

Room tip: Book into the single story rooms. Ask about sky windows and if curtains block out the light in bedroom.

Great vicinity, fantastic cleaning staff really helpful when we arrived. When we checked in no advise from management on how to work heat pump so had a freezing cold night in winter! Phoned from home to suggest they inform guests of how to use heat pump but lady manager really rude - would not stay again and we travel regularly to this region!

Room tip: Heat pump instructions- in 4 page guide in Guest Information Book. Didn't find that during the night so had a freezing cold stay!!!

Three bedroom suite. Beds and pillows are comfortable and rooms are nicely decorated. Kitchen and lounge are spacious with comfortable, smart furniture.
Shower is powerful. Good location - close to dairy.
Less good: Noisy at night from surrounding buildings.

Looking fir a place close for the rugby or a walk to northern Victoria St restaurants; then this place ticks the box. Everything is there. The rooms are not flash but they’re certainly adequate and ok for the money. We were in our own unit but other family members bunked in together in a larger unit and it was all acceptable. If you want flash; this isn’t it. But it’s an honest place to stay.
