Took the Grandies to the zoo to fill in a dreary afternoon. Should have known better. A lot of the animals where hiding from the weather. There was still quite a lot to see though and mostly it was a pretty good experience. A good selection of animals and some beautiful birds. The volunteer in the Chimp house was very helpful and informative and we all enjoyed it. Love the natural habitats they have created. We found the signage for directions was a bit lacking and not all that clear. The wetlands would be a great stroll on a lovely day. I'm sure on a fine day it would be lovely. Good facilities for picnicking and an ok café too.
