This 18th-century-styled Georgian mansion has beautiful plaster decoration, fine china, grand pianos, rich wall coverings, imported flooring – all combining to make an experience you will appreciate & enjoy. Peter, one of the owners, was a wonderful host to deal with both prior to & during our visit. He welcomed us, waited on us, gave us a really interesting talk on the evolution of Willowbrook & answered our varied questions. Nothing was too much, and we appreciated all he did so effortlessly & well. The garden, when it matures, will truly complement this unique home. Table and wine grapes ( we hope a classy new wine label will be a future venture), olives, a sunken retreat, a pool, bluebell pathway, fountain, Badgers’ Wood ( sans badgers), a potager, varied orchard plus so much more in which to wander peacefully! We were glad we didn’t have to keep the sparkle on the multiplicity of chandeliers and windows. The High Tea was enjoyed especially being able to have a "sparkling" version, with bubbles.
