Meander through a lush tropical jungle, visit ancient China and indulge yourself in a Renaissance Prince's 16th century garden. Five garden collections have been created to delight the senses, with some garden concepts reaching back 4,000 years. Hamilton Gardens is a conceptual garden based in the Waikato that explores the context, history and meaning of gardens through time, and from around the world. It is internationally recognised for its unique concept and is the Waikato region's most popular tourist destination. Only five minutes drive from Hamilton's CBD, the Gardens is open 7 days a week during daylight hours and entry and parking is free. “A stunner!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2015

I am ashamed to say that I have lived in Hamilton for a good number of years and have only been to the gardens for shows and a wedding or two. Walking through the Paradice Gardens is like travelling the world for free! You are transported to China, Renaissance Italy, 1950s USA, The UK and a good 1/2 dozen other locals! A must for locals and visitors alike. Make sure you take the river cruise as well A great day out and great value!

“Couldn't Believe My Eyes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2015

I had heard of the Hamilton Gardens but I could never have imagined how stunning they'd really be.

The grounds were tidy, spotless in fact, expecially considering the large amount of people going through.

Each garden had a theme and so much detail, including historical information, and so much work had gone into them. My favourite was the Japanese Garden, and had it been springet the English garden would have been a close second.

It is very peaceful and large open spaces for dogs.

I was so upset my camera ran out of battery as I'd live to relive the gardens all over again.
