We stayed in unit 8. The room was in the centre and very little road noise. The upstairs rooms however make a lot of noise below. Well priced and centrally located just over the road from the beach. Long overdue for a renovation.

Spent a night in a studio apartment when travelling to Gisborne for a dancing competition. Very easy to find and great location just a block back from the beach.
Was impressed with the friendly greeting and ease of checking in. Appreciate the local newspaper and being given a mini bottle of milk for tea/coffee. The upstairs room has a sliding ranch door and was very well equipped with plates, cutlery, cups & saucers, microwave, jug, teapot and toaster. Big flat screen tv on the wall had all the freeview channels and SKY movies/sport. Great for watching America's Cup racing!
The style of the motel is old school but this functional design means you don't hear your neighbours thru the concrete walls. The heat pump/air conditioning was quick to heat the room and rather quiet.
Bathroom needs remodeling and the shower, although hot, was disappointing with a somewhat limitied flow. Everything was very clean.
I slept well and the double bed + single bed in the one room suited our needs.
Would happily return.

Room Tip: The first floor is accessed by covered stairs at either end of the building

The unit was warm and comfortable. Only drawback was just one three seat sofa so watching television had to be done on a hard chair for one person. Unit was small but all we needed. Location was fabulous.

We had a 2 bedroom unit which was exceptionally clean and modern, light and airy. Fully equipped including BBQ. Regretfully could only book in for 1 night which was due to our own poor planning. Friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful time we had. Sunshine, sea, sand, surf. It's all there on the doorstep. Great place, handy to everything, easy walk to town and restaurants, cafes and shopping. Helpful hosts, good service ,nothing too much to ask for.

Room Tip: Family units at rear, quiet, with plenty of room for children to play.
