Very good place to eat, great vibe, but not to noisy.
reasonable prices bearing in mind the superb location.
Filet steak was excellent.

Great service, but must say the food was average, cant understand why the Mc Donalds chips would be an item for the fish and chips, the chef needs to look at maybe doing fresh cut chips. The battered oysters were the size of a 50cent piece.
The fish wasnt what I would have called fresh but maybe they save that for the dinners. The waiter was lovely and the location is also wonderful.

Service was great from our Belgium waiter. Nice outside table as we had our dog... bur seriously shoestring fries with the fish and chips? Oysters were tiny and the salsa with the market fish just didn't work. Market fish was terakihi and it was old and dry...so 5 for service and location, 2 for food..pick up your game guys.

We love oyster & chop, been many times and have never had any issues! Food is always great, staff is always very friendly & attentive. Although it is a finer dining restaurant they are very accomodating of children as we always bring our baby & toddler never had any problems with the kids being there :) portion size is also very good we’re always full & satisfied after our visit

Having booked I did some poor reviews on service but we had excellent service on a Thursday night. The oysters were excellent and one of us enjoyed the local fish and one had the crayfish washed down with some delicious wine! Each of us concluded with one scoop of ice cream. Cost for 2 NZ$320
