We lunched here recently and have been for dinner as well. It is a very easy walk from the centre of town or, if ferrying from the North Shore, from the downtown ferry building. The combination of oysters and other fare make for a wonderfully meal. The oyster types available on any day are noted outside on a blackboard and are offered in a range of styles. if you like yours cooked, then I highly recommend the tempura battered option - the batter is light and crispy and enhances the wonderful scent and taste of the oysters.
A great addition to the waterfront (the place has been open since January) and a very good upscale take on "surf n turf". Worth a visit

This restaurant is conveniently located in the Viaduct Harbour area. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner of oysters, steak and a wonderful pumpkin soup. We were particularly impressed with the oysters. The waitstaff were extremely helpful in making suggestions that helped us make the most of this delightful experience.

To me this place ticked all the boxes. The service from this fun young man made the whole experience a pleasure too. Steak for my husband was great, oysters (tempura and vodka/lime) were great, the apple crumble dessert was middle of the road but the ice-cream matched it perfectly and saved it from being so-so (where was the cream tho?)

Decided to eat here on our final night in Auckland and glad we did.

My wife and I both had a beef fillet in addition to potatoes and grilled root veggies and everything was really good. The steaks were perfectly done (med. rare) and quite sizable. We haven't found a steak like we get in the States. All the fillets we've had in NZ are thinner, but ours were still sizable and perfectly cooked and tender.

The veggies were good as well and we paired it all with a nice 13' Craggy Range Syrah which was perfect.

Service was really friendly and relatively quick. The restaurant was steady but not overly busy.

My only criticism came from setting up the booking earlier in the day in which I had asked for a nice table for two and was told that we would get one, but instead we were seated in the middle of the restaurant with traffic flow. We don't have high expectations but it would have been nicer if I was just told they didn't have anything other than what we got ... and it seemed like the other table was empty for our meal for the entire time. Almost said something but decided not to. I should have booked earlier perhaps

We'd come here again without a second thought as they did a nice job at everything. Best of all, given the bottle of wine and the two nice steaks, the bill was probably half as much as I would have expected in the States. This is still fine dining and more pricey, but it represents a solid value.

A beautiful winters day in Auckland and what should be a perfect setting for an anniversary lunch. For some reason the restaurant was not coping with a semi busy lunch crowd on such a nice day. Drink orders, food orders and food delivery were all very slow, unfortunately mains were cold when they finally arrived. An unpleasant experience all round, worsened by a chef swearing during service loudly enough for guests to hear. Wouldn't recommend disappointingly.
