A great location, with a lovely elegant ambiance. We had a delicious meal, beautifully presented with wonderful food tastes. A restaurant of very high standards in their service. You should go there.

When I stumble upon something exceptional, I try to look for things to help make them better in hopes the business will take it as it’s intended. The meal, flawless. Creative, but not pretentious and very well timed and sized. The room is sparse, but warm. The wine list is small, but with great local representation. The pairings were the highlight of the dinner. The service was smooth, educated, well paced and professional. So my only critique? They have wood floors and a few of the servers had hard soled shoes on and it was very noticeable during a very serene and ethereal dinner. It’s not even a complaint, just thinking when Michelin reaches NZ and this wonderful place goes for its first star.

This was a special anniversary dinner so we splashed out for a fancy meal - we had the 7 course degustation with wine matching... and found we had 7 courses plus, with additional appetizers and an extra dessert added in as well. Everything was beautifully presented, the service was great and the food was amazing (though maybe just a bit too much of it for comfort - but we couldn't bear not to finish every plate!) Highly recommended to mark a memorable occasion.

We arrived right on time and our table wasn’t ready so we quite happily waited in the bar area to have a cocktail and ‘snack’. The snack turned up in good time but the cocktails did not, the maître d noticed this and apologised and chased these up. When we received the cocktails they were really tasty and we were moved to our tables. We opted for the four course degustation as we weren’t overly hungry. I am quite a fussy eater and they managed to prepare a delicious similar menu to my wife who was happy to try anything.
The service was mixed, there seemed to be too many people serving and sometimes it was like one server didn’t agree with how the previous server had set things up and promptly changed them. On one course the food arrived prior to the new cutlery.
Taking all this into account the food was great and the service gave us something to talk about so it was an enjoyable experience overall.

We partook in their 9-course tasting menu on our first night in Auckland. The service was excellent - friendly, informative, and attentive. One person in our party has celiac and they were able to accommodate. The food was tasty all-around with a few great combinations and a perfectly cooked wagyu beef. The final dessert was new and a work-in-progress, but we appreciated they were seeking feedback on it. My only suggestion would be perhaps slightly smaller portions so that we were not as stuffed by the end of it!
