Sails Restaurant has been around for a long and I admit that we've not been for a long time. But I spotted the Grabone deal and it has been fantastic to see that the restaurant has kept with the times. An excellent evening of delicious food, lovely wines and attentive wait staff.

Wow, the food is outstanding! We had the 6course signature menu matched with wines and it was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were all very good! Loved our lunch there!

had a grabone voucher for 6 course signature meal but as my daughter and her partner have been under considerable stress recently we thought we would treat them and Sails offered to also give them the same offer at the same price. This was not only kind of them but I did not expect such a high standard of food comparable with the fine dining restaurant in the city. The duck and lamb were magnificent courses and of course the calamari did not disappoint, all beautifully cooked.
The Nevis bluff 2017 pinot noir was a delight to drink.
I would definitely return and pay full price for the 6 course meal and indulge in wine matching as well. Sails is definitely highly recommended!

The Signature Menu was a great way to enjoy a range of dishes. Each dish in itself was excellent. The wine matching also top notch. All staff were very nice - fast without being rushed, friendly and informative. The best dinning experience I have had in a very long time.

We had planned a visit to Sails for a long time and when a GrabOne offer for the Signature Menu came up we grabbed it!
We went by Bus from the North Shore to avoid driving home in Friday traffic, but there is plenty of parking in the area.
On arrival we were warmly greeted and taken to our preset table. Our drinks order was taken and VJ efficiently and helpfully took us through the Six Course Signature Menu.
First to arrive was the Roasted Beetroot followed by the Kingfish Crudo. Next up was our Highlight, Spiced Calamari, and then Duck Breast, a superbly tender Sous Vide Hawkes Bay Lamb and to finish Crème Brulee.
The Kitchen and VJ ensured the courses were well presented with great timing.
Some three hours later we departed, replete and satisfied having enjoyed the ever changing views of the Marina and the Harbour Bridge for a gentle walk down the Westhaven walkway to the Bus Stop.
We are firmly determined to return in the near future to sample the Seafood Menu.
