It's a new shared plates/small plates eaterie with Indian flavours. The flavours are innovative & based on proper Indian (no chicken tikka masala here). Instead, you get dishes like "Soft shell crab, pickled cucumber, carrot puree, cumin salt, tomato kasundi" and "Chocolate kulfi, date, banana mousse, cumin caramel, hazelnut", both delicious.

For a below ground venue with no exterior windows, it felt surprisingly light & cosy. The service was just right: efficient, warm & welcoming. Had a great experience & want to go back to try their other dishes.

For some excellent shared dishes this is a must visit. Find Fort Lane, see a lovely neon sign and walk down a few steps to a beehive of activity. From one of Auckland's best chefs the food was great from start to finish. We shard the Onion Kulcha with a coriander relish. I could have eaten a litre of this, it was that good. We then had the soft shell crab and the cauliflower burata to get us started. Our "main" was the Short Rib. To finish the panacotta and best of all the Chocolate Kulfi. Fantastic modern Indian flavours. The dishes are on the smaller side, perfect for sharing and we look forward to our next visit.
