Not sure whether their food is designed for the New Zealand palate, but unlike anything we have ever tasted in the UK (and we eat a lot of Indian food). The poppadoms looked like they were straight from a box. Worst Indian food I have ever had the (dis)pleasure to eat.

At $70 for two to have a mains with a drink it wasn’t cheap but not over priced for Auckland either.
The food was very good as was the service. We shared the Lamb Pasanda and mango chicken with poppadoms, raita & mango lassis.
All of it was very good and of reasonable portions I.e. not ridiculously huge but just right so no waste.

Almost walked away as couldnt figure out how to get in! Theres one small a4 sign on the door advising to use the hotel entrance but it fades into background amongst all other posters on window.
Staff were friendly and polite.
Food was average, edible but not exciting. We are very spoiled in Tauranga with Own Masala so we do have really high standards.

The restaurant is in the Waldorf apartments . Ground floor . Small and friendly . We had ordered starters , one main , all vegetarian and two desserts. Bill came about $65 with a glass of Rose .

Having eaten at the Wellington "Little India" on our trip to Auckland this was a must for us. Excellent value for money, staff attentive, even cut the onion bhajis in half because we were sharing the one entrée. Great food, awesome smells, busy little place. Friendly service.
