It is a pretty setting & We were passing at lunch so we stopped in. I had the Beetroot & Haloumi salad again with carrot slices, it is warm salad & really good. My hubby again chose the chicken Caesar salad & again disappointed. It is salad greens, not cos lettuce, lots of chicken but no real dressing, just aoli drizzled over it & hard croutons ( warning hard enough to break a tooth).& a perfectly poached egg. We didn’t stay for dessert as the flies were terrible, I was bitten on my leg ( red & itchyfor a few hours). We swatted flies while we ate. Many tables needed clearing so that didn’t help with the fly problem. We live rural & don’t have this problem.

It was very busy but we managed to get a table although we had to clear the dirty dishes and cups away ourselves. Service was a little slow waiting 20 minutes for a toasted sandwich. Food was okay. Staff not pleasant too busy I guess to even smile.

We stopped here for lunch after the Glenbrook Vintage Railway trip. The food was delicious and service very prompt. The setting is simply beautiful.

Four of us went to breakfast on a Sunday for 10 am last week in October. The service was zilch. I asked do you not get served in this place and the girl said no you order at the bar. We ordered 2x Eggs benedict one with bacon and the other with salmon (mine). My partner had The Works. The other person had sweetcorn fritters. Not much to write home about and expensive for what we got. We all had coffees. We stayed and had a second coffee except for my partner. It is such a shame as the outlook and where it is situated is so nice and peaceful. We left after 2 hours. Had not seen each other for a while. The 2 people that met us there were very sick that afternoon. He was going to ring the owner and find out what was in the meals they both had. We were fine. Their menu needs to change. It has been this way for a long long time now. It is up to each individual but I would not recommend this cafe for breakfast. Such a shame.
