Large area where there is usually something going on.
Can meet up with friends and usually something or with the arts.
Close to the town hall, movies, 10 pin bowling and large number of eateries

Date of experience: August 2017

If you keep an eye on this place, you'll realise there is always something happening there (as well as quiet days, when square looks just like square). Photo and Art open air exhibitions, theatre festivals, street performances and our favourite Ice skating ring during NZ winter! Great place to hang out by yourself or with family.

A great open air venue in the city.....check out what is coming up....unfortunately for us it was in preparation for an upcoming arts festival so the grounds were closed.
